(737) 787-4600Dr. Adam Schneider, a longtime Austinite, is a board-certified internist who has earned a superlative reputation in the Austin medical community from both patients and peers for his diagnostic acumen, compassionate approach to patient care and dedication to teaching and mentoring. Throughout his career he has received multiple awards and accolades, including Texas Monthly Super Docs since 2005 and Austin Top Doctors since 2015.

Dr. Schneider earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he graduated with multiple honors and merits. He specialized in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas before returning home to Austin to join Capital Medical Clinic, a position he has held for 25 years. In addition to his direct patient care responsibilities, he has held a number of leadership roles at the clinic including Finance Director, Director of Operations and Director of Clinical Research.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Schneider has served in numerous capacities in the medical community including Executive Committee Member and former Section Chief of the Department of Medicine at Seton Medical Center. He has also been involved in leadership roles at the local level, serving as the Medical Director of Connected Senior Care Advantage as well as on the executive committee of the Travis County Medical Society.

Dr. Schneider is an elected member of the Texas Club of Internists since 2008, the American College of Physicians, the Texas Medical Association and the Southwest ACO Medical Management Board. He is affiliated with Seton Medical Center and St. David’s Medical Center.
